Greetings in Jesus’ name!
When I planted our church I didn’t want to be independent – an island on my own. I desired the safeguards, and the potentials for encouragement, that come with being a part of a fellowship. But fellowship is like brushing your teeth, to really do its job it has to be consistent. There’s upkeep involved. Every pastor I know is busy, but we make time for what we value.
Let me remind you of a valuable opportunity for Calvary Chapel senior pastors. The Summit is an informal time where pastors gather to pray, sing, laugh, cry, vent, be honest, ask questions, share war stories, compare scars, and seek wisdom. The one activity we put on hold for three days is preaching. It’s a “no preaching” zone! We’ll meet for dinner on Thursday, December 12, and leave after breakfast on Saturday, December 14. In between, we fellowship.
This year’s Senior Pastors Summit is at, at Camp Paron (16330 Baptist Camp Road, Paron, AR 72122). The dates are December 12-14, 2019. For directions, go to www.campparon.com.
The cost for the Arkansas Summit is $200 for lodging and meals (single-occupancy only). This includes two nights’ lodging, five meals (dinner Thursday through breakfast Saturday), and some manly snacks. Friday afternoon is set aside as free time.
